This trek is commonly hiked by people with slightly more time to trek as the trail is 4 days longer than the standard EBC trek. The Gokyo Lakes trek also has the added benefit of being a circular route as opposed to the standard EBC trek which returns along the same trail. From Namche Bazaar, we walk to Dole village and Machhemro.  Another day, we trek down to beautiful mountain lake Gokyo. We spend the next few days trekking and interacting with Sherpas. We stay at local lodges and trek into the heartland of their villages. Other days we head to Everest Base Camp via Gorakshep, the flat field below Kala Patthar, 5,545 metres (18,192 ft) and Mt. Pumori.  Alternatively, the comeback route can be arranged through the Chola Pass and Thame trail offers the pleasure adventurous psyche with more marvelous view of lofty High Himalayans exploring the Nepalese culture and tradition of Khumbu Region. Walk Mountain will always be by your side during your entire trek. Due to the limitations of time, we might not be able to visit each one of them, but we will try to explore as many of them as we can. Our representative will arrive at your location in the early morning to pick you up and transport you to the Pasupatinath Temple. This pilgrimage is essential to Hindu worshippers. After that, we'll take you to Bouddhanath. The architecture and carvings in these palaces are breathtakingly beautiful. The peaceful sound of the bells and the general pleasant ambiance makes you want to spend the rest of your life sitting here alone. We'll take the road from Bouddhanath to Syambhunath. The beginning of Swayambhu is regarded as the beginning of Kathmandu Valley's history. The Syambhunath stupa provides a beautiful view of the surrounding landscape.

Day 3 : Flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, Trek to Phakding Maximum Altitude: 2,800 m/9,184 ft.

Today is our acclimatization day because we must adjust to the thinning air and avoid the chances of altitude sickness. We can hike up to Syangboche Airport, which is close to the Everest View Hotel. We can catch a glimpse of the spectacular range, including Mt. Everest, which is the highest peak in the world. In addition to it, we will get to enjoy the beautiful scenery of other peaks like Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and Kongde, and so on. We can also take a short trek to the Khumjung Village and visit Hillary school and a museum that houses yeti scalp and the traditional costumes of the Sherpa community. We return to Namche for lunch. Right before reaching Luza village, there is a chhorten. The trail takes us through many charming summer settlements and finally to the territory of Luza. Here, the furious Dudh Koshi is like a canyon with its sheer sides. As we climb the trails in the side of the valley, we finally reach Machhermo, which is the major settlement on the way to Gokyo. We will get to witness the irreplaceable beauty of the beautiful stream flowing down from Kyajo Ri and Phari Lapche through the middle of Macchermo before reaching Dudh Koshi. Yetis were believed to have been seen here in 1974. You will stay overnight in Machhermo.

Day 8 : Trek to Gokyo Lake Maximum Altitude: (4800m/15748 ft.)

Cho Yu and down the valley to Kangtaiga. As we pass through Phangka, the valley widens where we can see a memorial for those who perished in an avalanche in 1995, killing 40 people. As we descend, we will reach the Ngazumpa glacier, which is the largest in Nepal. After crossing an iron bridge over the stream, we will arrive at our first Lake, Long Pongav, at 4690m, where you will see lama footprints. The second Lake, Taboce Tsho, rewards us with sparkling turquoise water. One some steps ahead of the second Lake, we will see a stream that links the third Lake and these two. After having lunch, we can explore the third Lake, Dudh Pokhari. You will stay overnight in Gokyo.

Day 9 : Relax Day at Gokyo Lake Maximum Altitude: (4800m/15748 ft.)

Although today is scheduled to be acclimatization and a full relaxing day at Gokyo, we can have an optional hike up to 5th or 6th Lake. If the weather favors us, we can ascend to Gokyo Ri today instead of tomorrow. From here, we can relish magnificent views across Nepal and of different peaks. Those tall standing peaks look like a step away from here. Only 3km away from Gokyo is our fourth Lake, with cliffs and peaks rising and acting as a backdrop. The trail takes us to our fifth Lake, from where we can climb on a hill to enjoy the views of Cho Yu, Gyachung Kang, Everest, Lhotse, Nupse, and Makalu. We reach the Cho Yu base camp to revel in even more astounding sceneries. We can even proceed towards the sixth Lake if time is in our favor. We head back to Gokyo village. You will stay overnight in Gokyo.

Day 10 : Hike to Gokyo RI and trek to Thangnak Maximum Altitude: (4750m/15580ft.)

If we didn't climb the Gokyo Ri yesterday, we would do that today. Gokyo Ri is irrefutably the highlight of this trek but also equally demanding and strenuous to climb. However, the electrifying views that we get to enjoy are worth all the energy we spend on it. The panoramic beauty of all the mountain peaks like Everest, Cholatse, Makalu, Pumori, Lhotse, Nupse, Cho Yu, etc., cannot be described in words. The sunrays over Everest and other peaks will be the view you will never forget. After that, we trek down to Gokyo. After this, we will walk through Ngozumpa Glacier to the peaks on the other side, and after that, we traverse along the end of that mountain to reach Thangnak. Today might be a relatively short hike to prepare us for the upcoming elevation. You will stay overnight in Thangnak.

Day 11 : Trek to Cho-la Pass and then to Dzongla Maximum Altitude: (4,850m/15908ft)

Today will be among the most challenging days of our trek since reaching the top of Cho la pass is not a child's play. The trail isn't itself problematic, but it is very steep, and on the eastern side, it involves a glacier traverse. We have to be extra cautious because the trail is steep due to its vertical landscape and rocks glazed by ice. As we ascend, the path from Phedi climbs through a ravine and rocky trail. After trekking alongside the frozen Lake, we will finally reach the top of the Cho La Pass, decorated by prayer flags around it and hung throughout the path. We will also be rewarded with the exquisite views of Cho La Lake and Mt. Cholatse. To reach Dzongla, a collection of beautiful lodges, we will have to pass through some crevasses. As we continue towards Everest Base Camp, we will go to Army Mountaineers Memorial. Finally, we reach the Everest base camp, where we will see several bright and colorful tents sitting in contrast to the grey surrounding. We will feel the rush of energy and pride take over our hearts, for this is the closest we will be to the top of the world. We will also visit Khumbu Glacier, the highest glacier in the world. After enjoying the scenic beauty, we descend back to Gorak Shep, following the same trail. You will stay overnight in Gorak Shep.

Day 14 : Trekking from Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar and then to Pheriche Maximum Altitude: (5545m/18,192ft)

Make sure to get the last glimpse of the tip of Mt. Everest and the backside of Lhotse. Passing the Sherpa villages, shomare, and pangbouche and continue downhill, passing the Ama Dablam on our left side. We will also get to see some mountain goats, yaks, and pheasants.
