    Overview

    ABC, Annapurna Base Camp trek has become renowned as one of the most spectacular trekking routes in the world which offers some of the most spectacular mountain scenery, providing a fascinating insight into the modern hill life of Nepal. This trek attracts the large number of tourists because they find everything the Himalayas have to offer, accessible along a selection of well-maintained trails that snake in and around the 55-kilometre Annapurna massif, separated from the gargantuan Dhaulagiri (8167m) by the Kaligandaki, the deepest gorge in the world.

     

    The trek to Annapurna base camp starts from Nayapul following the Modi River and passing through dense stands of rhododendron and bamboo. You then trek to Poonhill, Tadapani, Dovan, Machhapuchhre Base Camp and finally Annapurna Base Camp. You get plenty of time to explore the vicinity of Base Camp. We then trek back to Nayapul passing the village like Bamboo and Jhinu Danda.

    Day 03:  Kathmandu to Pokhara [823m/2,700ft]: 6 hrs drive 

    Day 04: Drive to Nayapul and trek to Tikhedhunga (1,577m/5,173 ft), 1 hr drive and 4 hrs walk 

    Day 05: Trek to Ghorepani (2,850m/9,350ft). 5-6 hrs walks 

    Day 06: Poon hill hike and trek to Tadapani (2540m/8332ft), 6-7 hrs walk 

    Day 07: Trek to Chhomrong (2,210m/7,249 ft), 5-6 hrs walk 

    Day 08:  Chhomrong to Dovan (2580m/8460ft): 6 hrs trek 

    Day 09:  Doban to Deurali (3230m/10,595ft): 4 hrs trek

    Accommodation 

    As we arrived at Kathmandu we stay at “Hotel Bliss International” for 3 nights (Day 1, Day 2 and Day 14); located at the age of Thamel and, "Hotel Crystal Palace” in Pokhara for 2 nights (Day 3, Day 13). For the rest of the day during trekking we stay at local lodge or Tea-house during trekking. We provide 3-star hotel in Kathmandu and Pokhara. While, basic Accommodation during trekking. All the rooms are in twin share basic. Single supplementary will charge $200/person extra.  

    Meals

    We served Buffet breakfast at hotel in Kathmandu and Pokhara. And 3 meal per day (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) during treking. The meals are serviced as per your choice form the lodge menu. Important thing about the meals during trekking they look simple and basic but they grow it on their own field. So, it is organic and very healthy and gives energy for trekking.

     

  • Detail Itinerary
    • Day 1 Arrival, transfer to Hotel
      Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport where you will be welcomed by our representatives and they assist you to transfer in your hotel in Kathmandu. After freshen up; you will be provided the necessary details about the trips in Nepal. There will be special meeting and Welcome dinner program with the following trekking staffs of Walkmountain.
    • Day 2 Kathmandu: Sightseeing and Trek Preparation
      You will be collected by our tour guide for Kathmandu valley sightseeing, including several places of pilgrimages sites for Hindus and Buddhists , the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupati Nath, the world biggest Stuppa; Boudhhanath, Swoyambhunath Stupa (monkey temple) and historical Kathmandu Durbar Square with unique architectural temple, and incredible Kumari widely known as Living Goddess in Basantapur of central kathmandu. There will be meeting with other members along with our fellow trekking staff at our office for a pre-trip in the evening.
    • Day 3 Kathmandu to Pokhara [823m/2,700ft]: 6 hrs drive
      We drive to Pokhara from Kathmandu Valley with cozy Tourist Bus with great views of Himalayans on the top of green hills. We will have plenty of time to enjoy the beauty of Fewa Lake which located in central Pokhara. Overnight at Hotel.
    • Day 4 Drive to Nayapul and trek to Tikhedhunga (1,577m/5,173 ft), 1 hr drive and 4 hrs walk
      After a hearty breakfast we take a short drive of half an hour to Nayapul and commence our trek to Birethanti, a large and prosperous town beside the Modi River. The trail gently climbs up to the side of the valley, reaching Hile (1495m). A few hours of trek finally brings you to Tikhedhunga. Overnight at Tikhedhunga.
    • Day 5 Trek to Ghorepani (2,850m/9,350ft). 5-6 hrs walks
      Today we follow the trail that start with steeply ascends on the long stone steps to Ulleri village with magnificent views of High Himalayans scenery. We can encounter rhododendron and oak forests on the way to Ghorepani and we finally bring us to Ghorepani. We can have the marvelous look of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Himalayan range.
    • Day 6 Poon hill hike and trek to Tadapani (2540m/8332ft), 6-7 hrs walk
      The route to Poon hill offers the glimpse of the pleasant rhododendron forest. We can have the magnificent view of spectacular sunrise over the whole Annapurna and Dhaulagiri massifs including Mt. Machhapuchre (Fish Tail) and surrounding rice terraces. We continue ups and downs trail trek to Tadapani through the rhododendron forests. Overnight in Tadapani.
    • Day 7 Trek to Chhomrong (2,210m/7,249 ft), 5-6 hrs walk
      The trail leads through the scenic landscapes and local villages to get steep descend leads us to Ghandrung village for lunch. Ghandruk is a popular Gurung village for treks in the Annapurna range of Nepal, with easy trails and various accommodation possibilities. Further trek leads uphill for half an hour we then arrive in the village of Chhomrong where we stop for the night.
    • Day 8 Chhomrong to Dovan (2580m/8460ft): 6 hrs trek
      On this day we trek for Dovan by following the trail that descent to the Chhomrong Khola at first and cross the suspension bridge then trek up to Sinuwa Hill. The trail passes through thick and dark rhododendron forest up to the area of Dovan where we stop for the night.
    • Day 9 Doban to Deurali (3230m/10,595ft): 4 hrs trek
      Leaving Dovan we move for Deaurali. The trail gently climbs above the river through a thick bamboo, rhododendron and oak forests. We pass by Himalaya Hotel and cross two streams over small bridges. We then walk till we reach Deurali where we stop for the night. Staying in Deaurali for night helps you acclimatized yourself in higher altitude.
    • Day 10 Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m/13,545ft) via Machhapuchre Base Camp : 4 - 5 hrs trek
      After a hearty breakfast we start our trek to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC). We make a gentle climb through a river bed to steeply over the mountain side at first and the trail crosses a ravine and major avalanche track. We have to be alert to protect ourselves if there is wind. This might be pre-avalanche sign. The trail continues into the Machhapuchre Base Camp and Annapurna Base camp for overnight stay with the closest view of the Annapurna I along Machhapuchre and Gangapurna.
    • Day 11 Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo (2310m/7575ft): 6 hrs trek
      After a hearty breakfast we start our trek to Bamboo. We retrace the journey back to Bamboo by following the trail that gently descends through Machhapuchhre Base Camp, Deurali, Dovan. We finally reach to Bamboo after few hours of walk where we stop for the night.
    • Day 12 Bamboo to New Bridge or Jhinu Dada (1760m/5770 ft): 6 hrs trek
      The trail leads us to Khuldi Ghar and then to Sinuwa following the stone steps that leads to Lower Chhomrong. We then ascend on the thousand stony steps taking us to Upper Chhomrong. The trek steeply descends towards the Jhinu where we stop for the night. You can have the opportunity to visit natural hot spring down to the stream which is just a 15-min walk from Jhinu Danda.
    • Day 13 Jhinu Dada to Naya Pul to Pokhara 6 hrs trek, 1 hr drive
      After a hearty breakfast we tackle the last day of our trek. The trail leads through the scenic landscapes and local villages to get steep descend leads us to Kyumi village for lunch. Then we trek to Syauli bazzar and then down to Birethanti and lastly to Nayapul where we end our trek. We then drive back to Pokhara.
    • Day 14 Pokhara - Kathmandu 6 hour
      Take a drive for 6 hours to Kathmandu which is 200km east from Pokhara on Prithivi highway enjoying the river side view and farm lands with great views of Himalayans up above the green hills. Overnight at Hotel in Kathmandu.
    • Day 15 Departure from Kathmandu for next trip or to your home
      This is the last day for you to enjoy in Nepal as you trek has come to an end. If you have days left and ready for next trip then let us know. If not our representative will transfer you to the International Airport for your departure flight to your onward destination, taking with us the memories of wonderful moments spend with us.
